Exhibition ‘Trust it, use it, prove it’ analyses the differences between objects and its representation in photography. Vytautas Kumža is dealing with promotion catalogues founded in mailboxes, which create an illusion of a perfect life. He crafts objects from photographs, by turning them from 2D to 3D, and searches for a way to connect them. Using founded footage and turning it into an object he creates an item, which represents a function, but most of the times, it loses the ability of actual functioning. By considering the materials and visuals, he looks for a perfect setting. Objects become kind of props from a movie which was never made. They look real but they have no function.
